Why Mobile Marketing Needs To Be Top Of Your List

The mobile internet penetration rate in 2020 was 90.3% (expected to rise to 97.5% by 2025) and the number of mobile internet users was a staggering 61.3 million (source: Statista).

You are probably reading this on your mobile phone, but have you checked how your own website performs on a mobile? Just because it looks good and works well on a desktop, does not mean it will be the same on a mobile device.

It is vital that you don’t eliminate this market when testing and optimising your website. I have just checked the analytics on 5 of my client’s websites, all from different industries. Visitors to their sites using a mobile device range from 60% to 81%. Focusing only on the desktop experience for these clients would be ignoring the majority of their existing and potential customers!

Not only that, but Google is completing a roll-out of its mobile-first indexing this year. This means it will look at the mobile version of your website to determine how your pages rank in the search results.
