How to use Social Media for your business

Setting up a social media profile for yourself is easy. You can post what you like, when you like and you don’t really need to give it too much thought. Doing it for your business is not so easy, there are many things you need to consider if you want to use these profiles to grow your business. Here are some of the most important ones…

1. Engage. Don’t just rock up to the party and be a spectator who waves every now and again. Respond to comments with a comment. Ask questions. Get the conversation flowing.⁣ Add value to your audience.

2. Pick 1 or 2 platforms (preferably where your customers hang out) and do them well, instead of being on all platforms and doing them poorly. Good social media takes time, invest it wisely.⁣

3. Stop boosting and start advertising (no, they are not the same). You are spending the money anyway, spend it where you can get more value and better results.⁣

4. Optimise your profile/bio and fill in as much details as possible. So many people enter the bare minimum when setting up profiles, but this information is what will get you into the search results so is key for getting seen. ⁣
